Madelyn Valance for a Spare Bedroom

My client wanted a simple looking top treatment for the spare bedroom of her home. She liked the style of the "Madelyn Valance" from Pate Meadows. I used a ready-made panel that matched the comforter she purchased for this room. She found a striped pillow that had amethyst purple as one of a the stripes so I contrast lined and banded the edges of the scallops. This pattern was altered a little to suit the lengths that we needed. 

The fan sections separating the scallops and the buttons were also done in the amethyst purple. The final look was a great simple look for my clients spare bedroom. 

The shade underneath the top treatment was a Hunter Douglas Nantucket. The Nantucket has soft 3" fabric vanes that are suspended between two sheer fabric facings. The vanes can be tilted to any position from fully open to closed. These shades can block up to 88% of harmful UV rays when the vanes are opened. With the vanes closed, you can enjoy the privacy and 99% UV protection.
